CES Thursday: A bigger, better Pleo and other honorable mentions
The dinosaurs may never return (knock on wood), but robotic ones can: Jetta, the new force behind the Pleo, is promising a second generation of the dino 'bot. What does that entail? Jetta isn't saying, other than that it will be bigger and far more than just a re-release. Sure, that sounds cool — but will it be choke-proof?
Now that you're acquainted with this little 'bot, check out the gallery below for more awesome tech goodies we spied on the floor, but didn't have time to get our hands on.

Want to feel every punch to the chest while you play games? Sure you do, though Immerz's KOR-fx won't break any bones. It uses "acousto-haptic" feedback, which is a fancy way of saying "gentle vibrations." Pick it up for $180.

Spring Design's Nook-alike, the Alex ereader, is really showing its colors now. It's going to be carried by Barnes and Nobles greatest enemy, Borders. Look for the two-screen reader February 22nd for $360.
It's a tablet! It's a smartbook! It's both! The Freescale works like a tablet, but can dock with a keyboard that essentially changes it into a smartbook. It's a clever design, and one that isn't spoiled by the $200. It's just a prototype for now, but it's one to watch.

We've talked about Shapeways 3D printing service before, but the company had big news for CES: now you can print in color. Yep! Fully three-dimensional designs, entirely in color. If you want an example, you can buy this adorable bunny for under $4. (All color models at the moment have to be made with sandstone.)
