CES 2010 Monday: Cool stuff we didn't get to
We're scurrying around like crazy all over Vegas right now to make sure you're supplied with only the finest, freshest tech news. But, boy, this is one mammoth convention, and sometimes we see something cool while rushing around that we can't stop and check out — though we will be tossing said coolness up on our Twitter.
Check out the gallery below for seven gadgets from today that we didn't get our hands on, but deserve a mention. Each one is accompanied by a blurb that'll give you the deets.

The successor to Sync, myFord Touch brings full voice recognition, touch controls and graphic screens to the steering wheel and dashboard, providing drivers with better control over their MP3 players and phones, as well as supporting apps. Look for it in the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX, and in the Focus in 2012.

The Panasonic DMP-B500 is the second generation of the company's portable Blu-Ray line, but it's looking more attractive this time around with its 10-inch screen, Vierracast support over Wi-Fi and HMDI output. No pricing yet, but look for it in spring.

The Tunebug by SVC adheres to helmets by way of velcro buttons and turns them into a big surround speaker, leaving your ears free to hear for hazards. Plays well with Bluetooth or a direct line. Look for it in Q2 2010 for $70.

Sprint's Overdrive router will pack WiMAX and 3G into the same place, and connects with up to five devices over Wi-Fi. It's got a monochrome LCD, micro-USB port, microSD slot and is small enough to fit in your pocket. Look for it on January 10th for $100 (though you'll need to sign up for a two year, $60-a-month data plan through Sprint as well).
Future owners of the Chevy Volt will be able to enjoy a special OnStar app for the Motorola Droid, iPhone, and BlackBerry Storm. It'll show you all about your Volt, including if it's plugged in (and what voltage it's plugged in at), remote start, turning on the heat or AC, send email charge reminders, gas and battery levels, and more. Check it out at OnStarMobileDemo.com.

While all reports point to Fujitsu's full-color ereader being cantankerous and lackluster, the FLEPia still has a place in our heart as it gives us hope that more colorful ereaders are right around the corner. Right now it's only on sale in Japan.

The Kodak PlaySport is a handheld video camera for the YouTube user or casual enthusiast. It's got a 2-inch color display, captures in HD, takes stills with a 5-megapixel sensor, uses SD/SDHC cards for memory and uploads to a computer via USB. Look for it in April for $150.
