Engine oil/lubricant company Castrol went to a tremendous amount of trouble to create this ball-kicking robot, capable of launching the orb of your choice to a blistering speed 124mph. Get out of the way, though, because you don't want to get your ass kicked by this contraption. That little metal boot has got to hurt.

Is there no end to the effort a company will expend on a promotional stunt? Deemed unsafe for training goalies, this bot seems useless. It will be touring the world as a demo of technical prowess and corporate largess, showing the lengths to which a company will go to garner attention. Looks like it's worked so far. So maybe it's not so useless after all.
