Hermes/Leica bunk-up begets beautiful limited-edition film camera

A snip* at just $14,265, Leica's M7 camera has been rejigged thanks to French fashion house Hermes. On sale from today, there are just 200 units of the retro-styled film camera available — a ton of them in that war-correspondent khaki, also known as "étoupe," and another ton of them in Hermes's signature orange.

A few changes have been made to the standard M7 model, including a silver chrome finish on the back, and the removal of Leica's traditional red logo. The Hermes M7 comes with a leather strap and is presented in a rather delicious linen-covered, silk-lined box. You can see the colors after the jump, and I'll leave you with this observation. By comparison with some of Hermes' other stuff, the M7 is pretty damn cheap.
