Stylish 'House on the Water' isn't the awful future of Water World

I don't know about you, but I'm not really looking forward to living the rest of my life on a dank, cramped tanker when the ice caps melt and the world floods. Luckily, it doesn't look like the folks at Polish design firm Formodesign are too keen on it either, what their lavish "House on the Water" concept.

The House on the Water is completely self sufficient in terms of energy and water, and is accessible only — for the most part — by mega yacht boat. It relies on both solar and tidal energy to keep it powered, as well as water recycling and desalination for fresh agua. It also gets plenty of light as you can see, but features a high-tech shading system that would keep it from being too hot or too bright all the time.
