Google's Street View is a cool way to see areas of the country that you haven't travelled to, but viewing it through your browser doesn't quite make you feel like you're really there. Not so with the Google Holodeck, a setup that basically injects Street View with rocket fuel.
The Holodeck is a contraption that Google has at its HQ, one that offers a near 360-degree, high speed, HD experience. You stand inside and it whips you down streets, letting you soak it all in from all of the directions that the Street View cameras have captured. It's pretty awesome, no?
