High-tech public showers won't leave you soapy and cold.

Most Americans rarely encounter a public shower facility after they have graduated from high school, but apparently they're pretty popular in Korea. Over there the facilities are coin operated, and might cut off the water flow just when you're covered in suds and getting ready to rinse.

This new shower from designers Kwang-seok Jeong & Hyun-joong Kim takes a page from those self service car washes, with an LED hourglass timer that lets you know how much flow you've got left, and a color changing temperature dial and head to stop you from stepping directly into a scalding blast.

While I'm sure this is a big step up for the Korean public shower industry, I'd like to see a simpler version for home use without the coin slot.
