Take the audio plug-in called Auto-Tune, mix it up with some talking heads, and you get this kooky result that's not only hilarious, it's downright musical. "Auto-Tune the News #1" is apparently the first in a series, turning talkers into accidental singers. What a hoot!

Now that you know exactly what Auto-Tune can do, listen for it in the music you hear every day. It's everywhere. Now similar technology is accelerating this musical trickery to even more sophisticated levels, where groups of notes can be manipulated, for good or ill. But is it art ... or fakery?
