The Segway still hasn't changed the way humans move, although they're rather cool to watch. Is it the wheels that keep skeptics away? If so, students from the University of Louisiana might have designed a winner.

The Cajun Crawler uses multiple legs instead of wheels. It's surprisingly graceful, and much faster than you would imagine. It's based on Dutch designer Theo Jansen's beach creatures. The Cajun Crawler uses the same Dynamic Stabilization used in the Segway, but the multiple feet give it a more stable platform. If it were available for purchase, which would you choose — Segway or Cajun Crawler?
