JBL's K2 speakers are the size of mountains

We've seen JBL's monster Everest speaker before, and now the company is unleashing another mountainous speaker system: the Project K2 S9900.
These monsters are 3-way floor-standing loudspeakers, housed in mahogany. They weigh a whopping 180 pounds apiece, and have a frequency respons of 33Hz to 50Hz (-6dB). For such immense speakers you'll pay dearly, however, with a pair of these bad boys running you $44,650. Worth it?
