Discover if The Force is with you with the Star Wars Trainer
Let's say some old guy told you to wear a helmet with the blast shield painted over and then asked you to blindly deflect laser bolts shot at you by a seeker using a light saber. Could you do it?
You can find out if The Force is with you this fall when Uncle Milton (really, that's the name of the company) unveils its Star Wars Trainer ($130), part of the company's new Star Wars Science line.
The Trainer sort of looks like the floating ping pong ball test from The Right Stuff, except you make the ball float using your brain waves. Really, your brain waves. Using headgear like the one used in Brainstorm, your alpha and beta waves are transfered into wireless impulses, which operates the fan at the base of the tube, which floats and spins the ping pong ball.
Like Luke, you have to simultaneously relax and concentrate, which you'll find isn't easy. But you're cheered on with recorded Star Wars exhortations, such as concentration-bursting syntax murdering from Yoda. There are 15 skill levels from Padawan to Jedi Master. You've never had so much fun making a ping pong ball float. Just don't try lifting a snub fighter from a swamp with it.
