Canon PowerShot D10 is everything-proof, pleasingly odd looking

Canon blasted more than a dozen cameras onto the tech world this morning in anticipation of the big PMA (Photo Marketing Association) trade show coming up on March 3, but they're mostly brand spam, with just slight improvements over their predecessors, with nothing notable to report. Except for this one. Just look at it!

The Canon PowerShot D10 is tough. The 12-megapixel point-and-shoot is waterproof to 33 feet (whoa!), freeze proof to 14 degrees, and you can drop it from four feet with no worries. We love its bolted-down look and Bondi blue color that reminds us of an iMac from long ago.

If you don't like that color, you can snap on others, including the tougher-looking camo skin you see in the gallery below. The D10's design alone is well worth its $329.99 price of admission, and there's even a printer to match — take a look at it, after the Continue jump.

selphycp780.jpgThe SELPHY (what a weird name!) CP780 personal photo printer cranks out a 4 x 6 print in 47 seconds, plugs in but also runs on batteries, and is available in lots of colors to match Canon's cameras.
