LA-based artisan Giancarlo De Astis turns all kinds of aircraft parts from retired planes into industrial, retro-chic furniture. He gets the aeronautical leftovers from junkyards and plane graveyards in Arizona, and fashions tables, chairs, lamps and other furnishings out of flaps, turbines, canopies and various odds-and-ends.

Decorating your pad with pieces by De Astis isn't cheap, though. Expect to pay anywhere between $5,000 to $10,000 a pop for flying machine decor.
