Sfera washing machine washes your clothes in a ball

Now I'm not sure if an appliance as widespread and utilitarian as the washing machine is really in desperate need of a radical redesign, but I suppose there's no harm in thinking outside the box and trying to improve existing technologies.

The Sfera spherical washing machine is shaped like a ball, small enough to tuck it away in a bathroom somewhere. That's great for saving space, but probably not so great for washing big loads of laundry. The entire ball spins around to get your clothes nice and clean, which is a neat idea, but if it makes you do twice as many loads as a traditional washer I'm not sure if it's a design that'll ever catch on.
