360-Degree Suitcase: 4 wheels, infinite direction
Wednesday, May 28, 2008 - 6:00am
Maybe it's just me, but whenever I'm running to catch a plane, my wheeled suitcase keeps stumbling as I change direction, slowing me down. I usually just pick the sucker up, but if it was too heavy I'd much rather have one of these 360-Degree Suitcases. Instead of being locked into one direction, the wheels on this "sturdy" case rotate just like wheels on office chairs, letting it move in any way you want to go. Made by Swany, the carry-on-size bag (only 15 inches tall) costs $250.
You might think it's surprising that it took this long to offer this modification, but when you remember how long it took luggage makers to develop simple wheeled suitcases, it's probably right on time.
