Areaware Magno Wooden Radio takes on a smaller form

If you’re familiar with Singgih Kartino’s elegant wooden radios he’s designed for Areaware, you might like this newest iteration, the Magno Wooden Radio that’s much smaller than his original medium-sized creation.

At $220 (available in July), it moves beyond a radio and into the jewelry category, but hey, nobody said craftsmanship using exotic sustainable woods was going to be cheap.

Don’t worry if you can’t find any good music or blather on the radio, either — you can plug your MP3 player into its auxillary jack in the back for your own special sounds. Or just turn it off and gaze at this simple radio’s basic beauty.
