Bristlebot 2.0: Old computer chips regain momentum
Thursday, March 13, 2008 - 4:59am
The inventors at Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories created the excellent Bristlebot with just a battery, a toothbrush head, and a cell phone vibrator. They also showed us how to make cute bugs out of old computer chips. Now, one of the website's clever readers has combined those ideas and invented the chipbot— a Bristlebot made from an old computer chip. If you're more likely to have an old computer chip lying around your house than a spare slanted toothbrush head, just fold the chip's pins down and slant them forward and follow the Bristlebot instructions. Soon you'll have a speedy desktop companion.
Catch a video of the 'bot in action after the jump.
