Clothing with special nanofiber yarn gives its wearers a real charge

Few things suck more than running out of battery power for your iPod or cell phone, but if Zhong Lin Wang's power generating yarn ever makes it to market, this problem could be relegated to the trash can of history. The yarn is made from special nanofibers that generate an electric charge as they rub together, kind of like the way you get zapped after shuffling over a new carpet. In addition to personal electronics, zhong says the cloth can be used to recharge pacemakers, which I guess makes losing your iPod power seem pretty trivial.
Zhong predicts that useable fabric will be available in about three years.
