The MacBook Air: world's thinnest laptop

Sir Steve of Cupertino just dropped some bombs at Macworld, the biggest of which being the announcement of a new MacBook Air ultraportable laptop. The thinnest laptop in the world, it measures a mere 0.16 inches thick at the front and 0.76 inches thick at the back. It has a 13.3-inch LED-backlit screen, which should look pretty slick, and it comes with 2GB of RAM standard.

The processor isn't the fastest one around, with the 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz options having been available for well over a year, but you probably won't be looking to do any gaming or anything on this guy anyway. There's an option to add a 64GB solid-state flash drive, but said drive jacks up the price from an expensive $1,800 to a flat-out insane $3,100, so it's probably not a legitimate option for most people. But hey, it's nice to know it's there, right?
