The Get Firefox Video Awards Bring Web 2.0 To Japan

Let's start the year by taking a look back at one important tech event we missed just a couple of weeks ago: the Get Firefox Video Awards. Created by the Mozilla Japan organization, the event was judged by Joi Ito (TypePad investor and new board member for Sanrio Digital/Hello Kitty), Chibi Takita of Mozilla Japan, Hiroyuki Nakano, Chiaki Hayashi, and Andrew Thomas.

Over 100 creators around Japan submitted 30-second video submissions geared to promote the adoption of the popular Web browser in Japan. Some of the entries included claymation self-aware computers as well as Web 2.0 Manga. You can take a look at a few of the winners here.
