Sony axes 80GB PS3, 120GB model rumored to follow

Sony really has problems keeping its Playstation 3 lineup stable, with adjustments seemingly being made every few months, keeping itself in the news and consumers on their toes. The latest adjustment? The 80GB model has been splashed, soon to be replaced by a rumored 120GB model, apparently.
In the end this might not be a bad strategy for Sony, as by constantly upgrading basic hardware like the hard drive size while keeping the price the same they're essentially giving customers small incremental price cuts with more reasons to adopt the console. And with more and more games finally coming out for it, the Playstation 3 might finally get its day in the sun.
