CES Sexy: Mobile navigation goes portable in the AVN2210p mkII
You know how popular mobile navigation devices have become, but for the most part, they’re either portable, or built into your head unit. The Eclipse AVN2210p mkII gives you the best of both worlds. Eclipse has joined with TomTom to produce an all-in-one unit. When in the car, snap the personal navigation device into the slot in the head unit for a completely integrated unit. Your music is displayed on the large touch screen, there’s voice recognition, spoken instructions, points of interest – everything you expect from TomTom. When you travel, simply snap out the device, and it’s a self-contained portable to go wherever you want, complete with a travel kit and charger. Smart designers at Eclipse even include a plug to cover the empty space. The AVN2210p mkII also has full iPod control, plus a front-panel USB input for all your portable music options. The head unit has 5V pre-amp outputs, and 50-watt amplified speaker outputs. Gold-plated RCA outputs and advanced Bluetooth capabilities are nice improvements too. The AVN2210p mkII is the perfect marriage of portable and mobile navigation.
