Saeco Etienne Louis espresso machine makes coffee, sinks naval vessels

So what do you look for in a coffee maker? I prefer one that keeps me on edge in fear of detonation, like this Saeco Etienne Louis espresso coffee machine — it looks a lot like an underwater mine. The sphere is made from steel and the imposing spikes and supporting legs are polished aluminum. The sphere is split in half so you can access all the espresso maker innards, and other than looking pretty scary the machine works as you'd expect.

The Saeco Etienne Louis espresso coffee machine is a design by Carlo Borer of Switzerland. Pricing isn't announced up front — if you want one, queries can be made at the CB-Industries's site.
