MultiBook: a lamp, alarm clock, charger and a terrible read

You'll definitely want the MultiBook at your bedside, though not for the usual entertainment a novel provides. Designed by Dante Donegani and Giovanni Lauda, the MultiBook manages to cram an alarm clock, a lamp and a charger all in one unit.

You'll be able to tell the time and date by looking at its spine, and, instead of pages, 74 LEDs situated around the MultiBook's edges provide lamplight. Opening up the cover reveals the 3-way multisocket underneath to make sure all of your gadgets are juiced up. The MultiBook seems like it'd make an ideal travel companion and it's shaped so it can fit in your luggage just as a book might. One downside: you could probably buy what it replaces in cheaper forms than the $220 price tag the Multibook carries, not to mention you'd need an adapter for that foreign 220 volt standard.
