Bang & Olufsen keeps focused with music phone
While some companies endeavor to reach as many pockets as possible, Bang & Olufsen tends to offer a more exclusive feel because of its different designs or high prices. The Bang & Olufsen Serenata might fall into both those categories when it hits in November.
The Serenata is a horseshoe-shaped music phone with no sharp edge in sight, and, curiously, features a clickwheel placed above its screen. Serenata won't let you watch movies, but it can play both WMA and AAC music formats from its 4 GB flash drive and display album artwork on its 2.4 inch color screen. You don't have to keep your music to yourself, either, thanks to built-in loudspeakers — a feature which might not be all that widely appreciated, depending on what crowd you're around when you blast your tunes. It'll be interesting to see if Serenata's narrow focus on music can win people from phones that do so much more.
