HypoSurface brings walls into the 21st century

Sure, walls aren't exactly the first things that pop into your head when you think of objects that are getting lots of technological innovations. But hey, nobody asked you what you thought the next cool object was, did they? That's right. So just sit back and let me tell you what it is: a wall.

Bam. The HypoSurface is a fancy wall that uses interlocking flexible panels to awaken to a livelier state than your average wall. Compressed air behind the surface pushes the panels out in various patterns, even spelling out letters in the wall. It can react to sound and movement or do its own thing. Sure, it'd be distracting to have in your house, and you couldn't hang pictures on it, but you can't argue with progress. Hit the jump to see a video of the HypoSurface in action.
