What, you didn't get a chance to fly on the Concorde? Well, neither did we, and that's why we're looking forward to the big auction coming up in France on September 28th. There will be thousands of spare parts of the fabled supersonic aircraft on the auction block, and you can take a look at the huge catalog online.
While most of the bits and pieces of the superfast airliner might be of interest to mechanics and aviation buffs, there are prosaic items such as a dinner plate and cutlery service that might be fun to have around, akin to owning a piece of the Titanic. But then, decorating your living room with the Concorde's forward landing gear, expected to sell for somewhere between 2000 and 3000 Euros, might be a bit perplexing to your house guests.
We'd just be happy to have a couple of pairs of Concorde airplane seats, and we'd turn them into a unique piece of patio furniture. Come to think of it, the whole thing is kind of sad.
