Underwater restaurant makes you crave seafood
Sick of the same old dining atmosphere? Craving something a little more unique? Well, it doesn't get much more unique than the world's first underwater restaurant. Ithaa, located at the Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa, sits 15 feet below the surface of the ocean, giving diners amazing views of the ocean life around them.
Sure beats your local McDonalds, eh? While it's pretty amazing, I seem to remember going through a few aquariums in my youth that had underwater tunnels that looked to be about this size. Why has this taken so long? It couldn't have been that insanely hard to create. Why don't they build a restaurant under the East River here in NYC? Sure, the sea life is less impressive, but I'd like to see a body float by while I eat at least once in my life.
