It should come as no surprise that Mitch Altman, inventor of the TV-B-Gone, has come up with a new device that provides entertainment of a totally different kind. Having given legions of TV haters the ability to turn off televisions wherever they invade piece and quiet, Altman's latest invention, the Brain Machine, injects users with a dose of meditative nirvana by syncing up brainwaves with lights and sounds.
Enjoying your own personal music and light show is nothing new, but being able to wear it presents a new spin. And what's really different about Altman's device is that he's offering up everything you need to build one yourself.
I'm pretty certain there's a healthy market out there that would snap up any legal source of hallucinations. And the beautiful thing is, there's not a dang thing the DEA can do about it. (Knock on wood.)
