Philips patents furry display technology

You know, I've been saying for years that my TV just isn't as furry as I'd like it to be. I'm glad a major consumer-electronics company has finally stopped treating me like some sort of crackpot and realized that I'm actually a brilliant soothsayer who can tell exactly what the future of technology holds. It holds fur, and lots of it!

Philips has just applied for a patent for furry displays, in which each pixel is it's own tiny piece of fabric. The technology would allow for soft, plush displays, paving the way for video clothing and stuffed animals. I'm not sure if and when we'll see this stuff in action, but I for one am glad that we may finally be able to watch TV on the back of someone's sweater. It seems like so many people have been clamoring for it for so long, it's amazing it's taken this long to be developed.
