Subliminal messages to cure gaming addicts

A Korean company has patented a technology that uses subliminal messages to get gaming addicts unglued from the screen. By repeating a message telling gamers to hit pause 10,000 to 20,000 times per second, it tricks people into thinking that they actually aren't having fun and would rather sit outside under the boring old sun, a place where there are no goblins to slay or hostages to rescue.

I'm not sure how well this would work, nor am I sure how many parents would be willing to use such underhanded means to get their pasty geekspawns some much-needed fresh air. But I guess if you've got one of those sad addicts on your hands, someone who will forgo eating to get to the next level in World of Warcraft needs a kick in the pants from any method available.
