LG, ever the format-war peacemaker, has added to their Super Blue line of combo drives with their new GGW-H10N Super Multi Blue, an internal drive that can burn Blu-ray discs in addition to playing both Blu-ray and HD DVD discs. It's yet another small step towards ending this asinine format war once and for all.

Will this one make any huge steps towards that goal? Probably not, for two reasons: one, burning discs of that size is a much less efficient way to back data up than using flash drives, and two, it costs $1,200. That costs more than most complete desktop computers, and clearly no one who knows anything about anything would spend that kind of cash on this thing. But hey, it's nice to know it's out there. — Adam Frucci
