Video headset aims to replace your flat-panel TV

Living in a small space forces many people to go for smaller TVs, but this is ridiculous. Headplay's personal Cinema System is a video headset and media center for both games and movies.

I checked out Headplay in person yesterday, and after donning the headset, I was impressed with the virtual 52-inch picture. The comfy headset will display 3D content, but not HD. At 6 hours, battery life is good, lasting longer than a coast-to-coast flight. It's probably a better gadget for gamers than movie watchers, and at $499 I'd rather buy a high-def LCD television. Overall, I'd say good not great — I'll wait for the HD version. It's both NTSC and PAL compatible.
