Video games enthusiasts are seen as having pretty much the antithesis of an active lifestyle, which is what this strange "dream machine" is trying to change. It forces you to be active, move your body around, and work up a sweat in the name of gaming. It's not all that clear how it works, but it looks like you can just twist and rotate your body to control on-screen action. Makes sense for some games, like flying simulators, but I can't imagine controlling Halo that way.
Did I mention the price? It's a whopping $1,700, which makes it the most expensive video game controller I've ever seen. It should be available in March for people who are looking to trick themselves into exercising. Have fun with that.
