Roca's Aquatech: Don't call it a shower — it's a 'hydrotherapy cabin'
Upside-down showers are cool, but Roca showers are cooler. Gadget Candy pointed us to the Aquatec Club 1000, which includes an FM radio and "waterfall" for around $13,665. But we're more impressed by the 1700 model (shown), which has a built-in speakerphone, a Scottish Shower programmed to intersperse blasts of cool water along with the hot, a steam bath, and "chromotherapy," which we think means flashing multicolored lights. We can't quite imagine what it's like to speak on the phone with someone who is in a disco steam bath (or a waterfall, for that matter), but it could be similar to communicating with someone trekking through the rainforest with a machete. No matter. If we had one of these useful "hydrotherapy cabins," we'd phone all our work in. The price on the 1700 is TBA, but you can bet that it's more than $19,000 — the price of the slightly less swank Aquatec Club 1500.
