Ear3: for idiots worried about going deaf
Are you really concerned about the safety of your precious ears, yet can't stay away from death metal concerts? Need a little help figuring out if something is too loud for your wussy little ears to handle? If you someone don't have the basic sensory functions to tell when something's too loud, you could always go pick up an Ear3.
The Ear3 is a little device that claims to be a "sonic threat indicator," flashing red lights at you when it detects dangerously loud noise levels. Seriously? Do we need this? How about a device you strap to your glasses that kicks you in the pants when it catches you starting at the sun? The thing is $50, too. $50 for something that tells you that you're hearing a loud noise. Give me a break.
