Bionic dolphin is much more nimble than the Red October

Personal submarines are old hat. Every billionaire's got one, so you aren't impressing anyone by buying one at this point. What you need is something that'll make you stand out from the crowd at the Easthampton Submarine Docks. Ah, here we are. This "bionic dolphin" sub should fit the bill nicely. Seating two people comfortably, the flipperesque vehicle is set to be a plaything for the rich and also perhaps the strangest thing you could imagine coming and rescuing you if your schooner capsizes. It's got a 425-horsepower Corvette engine under the… hood… and can shoot along the surface of the water at up to 55 MPH. Currently a custom built one of these bad boys will run you somewhere around $350,000, but creator "Doc" Rowe hopes to get a production model down to a totally cheap and reasonable $120,000.
