$400 earbuds don't sound good to your wallet

Ultimate Ears, makers of some of the finest earbuds in all the land, are preparing to unleash the triple.fi 10 pro headphones upon the world this December. As an owner of a pair of Ultimate Ears earbuds (albeit a much lesser model), I can vouch for the amazing quality of these. The triple.fi 10 pro models feature three miniature speakers per ear: two bass drivers and a high-frequency driver. The result is what the company claims is like having a full stereo attached to your head. If you're still using those lousy white earbuds that came with your iPod, it may be time to upgrade. There's a catch, unfortunately: they cost $400. Yeah, for a pair of headphones that aren't even wireless. The good news is that Ultimate Ears makes cheaper models too, and while they might not have three speakers per side, they'll definitely beat the pants off of the white buds.
