Vocal Smoke Alarm: wake up when fire strikes

Apparently, kids under the age of 16 don't always wake up when a fire alarm goes off, even when it's cranked up to ear-splitting levels. Instead, they wake up much better at the sound of a parent's voice. I guess every kid is hardwired to wake up when they hear mom nagging them to get ready for school. With that in mind, this Vocal Smoke Alarm allows you to record a personal message that will play when smoke is detected. Just imagine, your house is on fire and you hear yourself saying, "Get up kids! There's a fire!" or "Hey Jackass, you fell asleep while smoking in bed, get up before you become an embarrassing obituary." I think a blaring alarm would be more effective, but then again I'm not a 12-year-old kid. The vocal smoke alarm is $30 and is available online now.
