Toshiba announces 16-GB USB thumb drive
Toshiba is stepping up the storage capacity of USB thumb drives, announcing a gigantic 16GB model set to drop this December. Yes, 16GB in a thumb drive. With a USB drive that large you can practically back up your entire hard drive to the thing, albeit a hard drive without any MP3s or videos on it. In fact, that's the whole point of the new drive. Featuring U3 technology, you can install all of your programs and files on the drive and then carry them with you. Plug it in to any computer and voila, it's just like your home PC.
