For U.S. and Canada, Skype's free until 2007

Skype kicked off a new promotion today that allows users in the U.S.A. and Canada to make free calls to landline and mobile numbers for the rest of the year. Normally free only when you call people with a PC, Skype is waiving the normal fee in order to pump up its user base in North America. Skype already has more than 100 million users, but is far more popular in Europe and Asia than in the U.S. and Canada.
