Toshiba announces super-thin LCD screens

The drive to make every piece of consumer electronics thinner and thinner continues, with Toshiba today unveiling LCD screens between 0.11 and 0.18 inch thick, the world's thinnest. The 12-inch panels can handle resolutions up to 1,280 x 800 pixels, so you'll be able to look at two full documents side by side on them. Alternatively, they'll look sweet when you're playing Half-Life 2. The manufacturer claims the slim displays are already in production, although there are no specific details on what products will be using them, prices, or release dates, so keep your eyes peeled for more info on these in the not too distant future.
