Mobiles of the rich & famous: Aston Martin phone
We've all had that problem once or twice in our lives: you just dropped $240,000 on a new Aston Martin Vanquish, but it's so hard to show it off when you aren't behind the wheel. Well, Nokia has heard our complaints and finally delivered with the new Nokia 8800 Aston Martin Edition phone. The sleek slider's best feature is probably the brushed steel case with the Aston Martin logo laser etched onto it, but other perks include a short documentary on the automaker that you can watch on the phone and ringtones that sound like the V8 engine of an Aston Martin Vantage. Its Bluetooth connectivity is ready-made to sync up with the sound system in any Aston Martin model, so you can talk about your ride to your underlings hands-free while you drive. You also get the standard features that come on the non-Aston Martin version of Nokia's flagship phone, including a camera that takes stills and video, a music player, 64 MB of built-in memory for your content, and Ryuichi Sakamoto-penned ringtones just in case you don't want your pocket to sound like a sports-car engine whenever your broker calls. Like the car, they aren't making too many of these, and they'll cost a cool £800 (about $1,400) in the U.K. No word on availability over here, but if you have an Aston Martin, you probably know who to ask about that much better than we do.
