VoIP phone offers old-fashioned fun

Most of my memories of rotary phones go back to a crotchety great aunt who used to stuff me sick with Jell-O and send me to be bed at 7 p.m., but if you're feeling nostalgic, Digital Cowboy's DC-NCTEL1 VoIP phone can satisfy your yearning for the phones of yesteryear. The phone connects to your computer via USB and employs Skype — the low-cost Internet phone service — yet has all the aesthetic joys of a rotary from the '30s or '40s, including an old-fashioned ring. This retro wonder should hit the shelves sometime in April. A price has yet to be announced, but expect something in the neighborhood of $50.
