New way to look dorky: Pedestrian Turn Signals
Why should the road demand turn signals but not the sidewalk? When it comes to navigating a crowded path, Pedestrian Turn Signals may instigate a sea change — or a pavement change, I suppose. Fitting around your ears and controlled by an attached remote, the signals allow you to light up your left ear when turning left or your right ear when turning right (both can be lit for "braking"). You might be thinking, "Wouldn't that get me beat up, rather than keep me safe walking on a crowded sidewalk?" Yes, pedestrian turn signals may instigate a little taunting and projectile flinging, but if sex appeal isn't an issue and you live in a tolerant area, they might provide a little relief from cumbersome phrases like "excuse me." But I'm certainly not man enough to set out on a New York City street for a live-action test.
