Typers: Das Keyboard picks up the pace

Everybody's got to tickle the QWERTY sometime, and the faster, the better. For all those looking to maximize their keyboard talents, there's Das Keyboard, an enhanced 104-key USB PC keyboard. Blank keys eliminate bad habits, requiring typers to look at the screen and not at their hands, and pressure-sensitive keys provide a more comfortable typing experience: normal keyboards require 55 grams of force to type, while Das' keys have five pressure settings (from 35 to 80 grams) to better match your finger strength. According to ThinkGeek, "Slower typers almost double their speed and fast typers become über fast!" We're not sure about the science behind those calculations, but if you're dependent on the two-fingered shuffle, your pride might suffer less spending $70 on a Das Keyboard than getting an eight-year-old to teach you how to type properly.
