Shining Carpet lights the way
"Glow in the dark" can often be a cheesy concept, but here's a place where it would come in handy: your carpet. Just think: no need to turn on a light and risk waking anyone when nature calls in the middle of the night. It doesn't even need power the strands of yarn absorb light during the day (either natural or artificial), releasing a greenish glow when things get dark. If you want one, the designer's site says prices of its products vary according to size, although the carpet is described as a prototype. Still, keeping your midnight snacking a stumble-free experience might be worth the wait, and having your house glow like a Borg ship at night is a bonus.
