Sfera alarm clock takes a stand on waking up

What's that hanging over the bed? That's no moon… hey, that's no space station, either! It's the Sfera — an alarm clock/radio with a cruel trick for guaranteeing you get out of bed. When Sfrea goes off, it takes just a quick tap to engage the snooze and silence it, but each time you do, it creeps a bit higher. After a few snoozes, the sphere will be so far out of reach, you'll have no choice but to stand up on your bed to turn it off. And since you're up anyway…. Created by a couple of design students in Milan, Sfera also doubles as a reading light, and its color changes when you set the alarm. It looks like the gadget was a class project, so I guess we'll all have to settle for our RadioShack clock radios for a little while longer.
