Jonathan Trappe was the first person to fly across the English Channel relying on a cluster of helium balloons alone. Now he's trying something much more daring — a similar flight, but across the Atlantic. Yep, Trappe has decided to take a trans-continental journey from Caribou, Maine to Europe this summer using 370 helium balloons. That's a 2,500-mile flight, folks.
We did write about his test flight over Leon, Mexico, but now he's nearly ready to embark and the image above shows Trappe and all of the gear he's taking with him on the trip.
