Pigeons are the lowest common denominator of the bird population. They just sort of cluster together and make a lot of noise (and crap on you from unprecedented heights). And because they've grown accustomed to living in urban areas, they display none of the healthy fear of humans that other wild animals do. How annoying.
As it turns out, though, pigeons aren't completely dense. In fact, when placed in front of touchscreens they use problem-solving skills to peck at a "virtual food bowl" displaying food more often than the empty one. If they continue to choose the one with food, they eventually get real food as a reward. Tune in below to see the little guys hard at work.
